Postpartum
Postpartum Care at Willow & Womb
Postpartum Support
The weeks and months after birth are often described as the fourth trimester for good reason. While your baby is adjusting to life outside the womb, your body and mind are also navigating an incredible period of healing, recovery and change.
Whether this is your first baby or your fourth, postpartum can bring joy, overwhelm, exhaustion and everything in between. At Willow & Womb, we offer gentle, individualised care to support you through this transition, helping you feel nurtured, heard and supported as you recover.
This page is for people who are:
-
Recovering after birth, whether vaginal or caesarean
-
Feeling physically depleted, exhausted or running on empty
-
Navigating the physical and emotional changes of early motherhood
-
Looking for gentle support during the fourth trimester
-
Wanting to prioritise their own recovery while caring for their baby
-
Looking for support for milk supply, mastitis, or other lactation needs
Acupuncture and Chinese medicine offer a holistic approach to postpartum care, supporting both physical recovery and emotional wellbeing while working alongside your existing healthcare team.
How we may support you
Postpartum treatment is always tailored to your individual experience and may support:

A calm, non-judgemental space to discuss how you're feeling, both physically and emotionally
We understand that rest can be difficult to come by during this season of life. Our goal is to provide a space where you feel cared for, supported and able to focus, even briefly, on your own wellbeing.
Collaborative Care
At Willow & Womb, we believe the best care happens when your healthcare team works together.
Whether you're trying to conceive naturally, undergoing fertility treatment, or navigating pregnancy, Chinese Medicine can work alongside the care you're already receiving. We regularly support patients who are under the care of fertility specialists, GPs, obstetricians, midwives, gynaecologists, endocrinologists and allied health professionals, providing complementary treatment that aligns with their existing care plan.
Our approach is collaborative, respectful and patient-centred. When appropriate, we're happy to communicate with your healthcare team to help ensure your care is coordinated and supports your individual goals.
You don't need to choose between conventional medicine and Chinese Medicine. At Willow & Womb, we embrace an integrative approach, bringing both together to provide comprehensive, personalised care throughout your journey.
